Teaching Artist Spring 2016, Fall 2016
Adam Gauger grew up in Minnesota and started performing in plays at Child's Play Theatre (now Stage's Theatre) when he was thirteen. He attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles and then studied privately at Atelier L.A. with Diana Stevenson. He went on to Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA where he studied and worked as a actor both on their main stage as well as touring around the New England area. He also taught Shakespeare workshops and directed for their Fall Festival of Shakespeare program which produces ten Shakespeare plays at ten different high schools in the area. After moving back the the Minneapolis area in 2011, Adam has continued performing in plays and volunteering for youth theatre programs. Adam is also an avid musician and visual artist.

Steve Hendrickson brings a wealth of experience as a Shakespearean actor to Minnesota Shakes. Steve has appeared locally at the Guthrie, Jungle, CTC, Park Square, Chanhassen, Pillsbury House and Illusion Theatres. Nationally at the Folger, Chicago, Great River and Orlando Shakespeare Theatres, ACT, Asolo and Yale Reps, Arizona & Barrington Theatre Cos., the Old Globe, Cincinnati Playhouse, and Florida Stage. He received a 2005 Ivey Award for Cyrano de Bergerac at Ten Thousand Things and shared a 2009 Ivey Award for Tyrone & Ralph at the History Theatre. In 2001 he became the first performer to receive the Dayton-Hudson Distinguished Artist Fellowship at Carleton College.
He loves working with teens and is eager to share his passion for Shakespeare!
